Outside Sales Engineer

 

Chalman Technologies has a need for a Technical Sales Representative to be responsible for effectively selling semiconductor and printed circuit board manufacturing test equipment and materials. This is an exciting career opportunity for the right individual.
 

The Technical Sales Representative will successfully cultivate current relationships and generate new clients to grow sales in the “to be” defined territory.

Responsible for, but not limited to the following:

​

• Identify and visit prospective customers by using business directories, follow up on leads from existing Principals, and attend trade shows locally and throughout the U.S.

• Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and to explain how specific products and services can meet those needs

• Act as point of contact and provide technical support to new and existing customers

• Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations

• Perform sales presentations and demonstrations in lab

• Answer customers' questions about prices, availability, and product uses

• Negotiate prices and terms of sale and service agreements

 

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or Business strongly preferred

• One year semiconductor and surface mount manufacturing experience preferred

• Strong problem-solving skills and customer focused attitude essential

• Business-to-business sales experience in a technical field strongly preferred
